As part of a specialised CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team), you will take a hands-on role in cybersecurity incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and infrastructure security. You will also act as a key communication bridge between CSIRT teams across multiple financial subsidiaries.
This role provides direct exposure to the FinTech CISO, offering the opportunity to influence enterprise cybersecurity initiatives while developing specialist expertise across CSIRT operations, security incident management, and vulnerability response.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute day-to-day CSIRT operations in collaboration with cybersecurity team members and regional stakeholders.
- Coordinate security activities and information sharing between security leads across multiple financial subsidiary CSIRT teams.
- Analyse incoming cyber threat intelligence to identify emerging risks, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts on financial systems.
- Manage vulnerability response activities across server infrastructure, coordinating remediation with relevant technology teams.
- Lead the triage, investigation, escalation, and management of cybersecurity incidents to support timely containment and resolution.
- Report security incidents, remediation status, emerging threats, and compliance risks directly to the FinTech CISO.
- Apply server engineering and infrastructure security knowledge to strengthen the organisation's security posture.
- Represent the organisation when engaging with external cybersecurity bodies, professional alliances, and industry groups.
- Collaborate across financial subsidiaries to strengthen incident response processes and improve enterprise-wide CSIRT governance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including hands-on experience working within a CSIRT or security incident response environment.
- Practical experience in cybersecurity incident response, incident management, investigation, and triage.
- Strong technical background in server engineering, systems administration, or IT infrastructure security.
- In-depth understanding of vulnerability management, cyber threats, and threat intelligence.
- Experience assessing vulnerabilities and coordinating remediation across enterprise server environments.
- Understanding of security risks affecting critical infrastructure, financial systems, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills within complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to communicate cybersecurity risks, incidents, and remediation status clearly to executive stakeholders, including CISO-level leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities when responding to time-sensitive security incidents.
- Proactive, organised approach with the ability to take ownership of cybersecurity issues through resolution.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent proficiency required for collaboration with local security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
- English: Conversational proficiency for communication within an international cybersecurity and FinTech environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with server systems administration and enterprise infrastructure hardening.
- Industry-recognised cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC.
- Experience supporting CSIRT operations within banking, payments, financial services, or FinTech environments.
- Exposure to multi-entity or group-wide cybersecurity governance.
- Experience engaging with external cybersecurity organisations, industry groups, or information-sharing communities.
- Knowledge of security controls and threat management within high-volume payment or financial technology platforms.
