A global investment bank is seeking an experienced FX Corporate Sales professional at Associate to VP level to join its growing Global Markets team in Tokyo.
This front-office position will focus on Rates & FX Sales for large Japanese corporate clients, providing foreign exchange and rates solutions while developing strong, long-term client relationships. The role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking sales professional to expand their career within a growing team at a leading global financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide FX and Rates sales coverage to large Japanese corporate clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients in the Japanese market.
- Understand client requirements and identify relevant foreign exchange and rates solutions.
- Work closely with Global Markets colleagues and internal stakeholders to deliver effective solutions for clients.
- Monitor client activity and market developments to identify potential business opportunities.
- Communicate market information and relevant FX and rates insights to corporate clients.
- Contribute to the continued development and growth of the Corporate Sales business in Japan.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of FX Sales experience within an investment bank in Japan.
- Proven experience covering clients within foreign exchange or related Global Markets products.
- Strong understanding of the Japanese institutional and corporate financial markets.
- Relevant experience in a front-office investment banking or Global Markets environment.
Soft Skills:
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with large Japanese corporate clients.
- Strong collaboration skills for working effectively with Global Markets and other internal stakeholders.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach to client coverage and business development.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native
- English: Intermediate/Business
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience providing FX and Rates solutions to large Japanese corporations.
- Established relationships or experience working with corporate clients in Japan.
- Knowledge of broader Global Markets products and solutions.
- Experience working within a global or international investment bank.
