A leading manufacturer in the sustainable timber construction materials industry is looking for a Project Engineer to join its engineering team at a major manufacturing facility in Clonmel.

This role will focus on delivering process and capital projects across the site, working closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement in a large-scale industrial environment.

What you'll be doing

• Deliver process-related capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover
• Engage with stakeholders to define project scope and develop technical solutions
• Lead project planning, procurement, budgeting, and resource management
• Develop tender documentation and manage contractors/suppliers
• Ensure projects comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams
• Produce technical drawings, design schematics, and project documentation
• Drive engineering improvements and innovation across the plant

What we're looking for

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 5+ years' experience delivering projects in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of project management tools and systems
• Experience with CAD / technical design tools
• Process engineering experience is an advantage
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
