Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to work for a fab company based in the Redhill, Surrey area. This is a hybrid working, Technical Accounting Manager ideal for someone who is ideally full qualified, great people management skills, technical accounting, financial reporting, month end and year end process etc.
Salary: up to £60K
Location: Hybrid working - 2 days office based
Technical Accounting Manager duties:
- Review and manage the month end close process
- Lead the monthly and quarterly reconciliation process
- Prepare trial balance for income and expenditure
- Completion of tax returns (VAT, CIS, corporation tax)
- Monitoring and providing commentary on group accounts - reporting
- Set processes and oversee the day-to-day finance - accounting operations
- Prepare trial balance for income and expenditure and balance sheet accounts
- Managing a finance team
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience working in a similar technical accounting, Finance Manager / Technical Accountant role
- People management experience and skills
- Ideally be a fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with experience of working in the charity / not for profit / housing / government type sector
- Able to identify opportunities for change and improvement
