Life Underwriting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of underwriters handling customer service-related and post-claims underwriting assessments

   

• Monitor service levels and ensure timely case resolution in line with internal SLAs
• Review complex or escalated appeal cases and provide expert-level recommendations
• Maintain and enhance underwriting frameworks, SOPs, and process documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Claims, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders for seamless case handovers
• Prepare and present monthly underwriting performance reports and data trends
• Ensure responsiveness to internal systems, case bookings, and email queries
• Support the wider underwriting function on projects and initiatives as required

What You'll Bring:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Life & Health underwriting
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high expectations
