Our client is a global investment manager known for its sophisticated trading strategies and institutional-grade infrastructure. As they transition to a more oversight-centric operating model, they are looking for a dual-hatted leader to head both Operations and Product Control for the Singapore office.
This is a high-visibility role acting as the primary bridge between the Singapore trading desks and the global leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and mentor two specialized teams (approx. 10 heads total) covering daily P&L production and the full trade lifecycle (capture, reconciliation, and corporate actions).
- P&L & Valuation Oversight: Take ultimate ownership of daily P&L across various desks, ensuring accuracy and providing deep-dive analysis for Portfolio Managers.
- Vendor Management: Act as the key regional stakeholder for the firm's third-party middle-office service provider, ensuring data integrity and resolving start-of-day reporting issues.
- Strategic Escalation: Serve as the "Infrastructure Principal" for the APAC region, handling all front-office engagement and reporting directly to global management.
- Transformation: Drive the shift toward an automated, exception-based environment, utilizing modern data tools to enhance control frameworks.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant disciplines.
- Strong pedigree in Fixed Income derivatives and securities from a top-tier Bank or Hedge Fund.
- Functional understanding of both the Operations (settlements/recons) and Product Control (P&L/NAV) workflows.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with Python, SQL, or ETL/BI tools is highly desirable.
