About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Accountant for a 6-month contract within a leading banking organisation. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in the banking sector, strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in delivering robust management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver timely, accurate reports while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Critically evaluate and validate data inputs, outputs, and ensure consistency in key business drivers across multiple departments.
- Proactively work to optimise and innovate data models, reporting processes, and systems for enhanced efficiency.
- Lead change initiatives with a focus on effective stakeholder engagement, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
- Provide more than just financial results-offer strategic guidance and insights to help manage the bank's income and expense objectives.
- Analyse and translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations that support decision-making and drive business performance.
- Provide support for regulatory and statutory reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance and senior leadership teams to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in retail banking.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CA or CPA qualification preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
