SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Lead (EC Lead)
Role Summary
The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Lead is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) solutions, supporting end-to-end HR digital transformation initiatives. The role involves full lifecycle implementations, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, post-go-live support, and continuous improvement, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices. This role works closely with client HR and IT stakeholders, project managers, integration teams, and change management teams to deliver cloud-based HXM solutions that enable effective workforce management and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Delivery
* Lead full-cycle SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementations across multiple industries.
* Translate complex HR business requirements into scalable and fit-for-purpose SAP EC solutions.
* Configure and optimise Employee Central modules including Position Management, Global Assignments, and Time Off.
* Act as the functional lead for EC, ensuring best-practice solution design and system integrity.
* Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement recommendations.
Functional Design & Configuration
* Collaborate with clients to define, document, and validate HR processes and system requirements.
* Perform functional configuration aligned with business needs and SAP best practices.
* Support data migration activities, including data validation and reconciliation.
* Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless connectivity with payroll, benefits, and third-party systems.
Testing, Deployment & Cutover Support
* Develop and execute functional test scenarios including unit testing and support UAT activities.
* Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare activities.
* Assist with deployment activities to ensure smooth transition into production environments.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior HR and IT stakeholders.
* Lead workshops, design sessions, training, and knowledge transfer activities.
* Manage stakeholder communications, expectations, and functional deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support project timelines and collaborate closely with project managers to ensure successful delivery. Documentation & Knowledge Management
* Produce and maintain functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and process flows.
* Create training materials, user guides, and supporting documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and internal knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven hands-on experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementations.
* Strong understanding of HRIS and cloud-based HCM solutions.
* Experience with configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP EC modules.
* Strong business process mapping and functional documentation skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Ability to lead workshops and present solutions to senior HR and IT stakeholders.
* Passion for HR technology, continuous learning, and innovation.
Nice to Have
* SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central certification.
* Experience working on multi-country or global EC implementations.
* Exposure to integrations with payroll, benefits, and third-party systems.
* Experience with SAP cloud technologies such as S/4HANA, BTP, and related SAP ecosystem tools. Experience / Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors HCM solutions.
* Demonstrated experience leading Employee Central implementations end-to-end
* SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central certification highly regarded.
