As a Property Projects Officer,/ Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the national property and accommodation initiatives.You will manage building construction projects, fit-out alterations, and relocations in line with the Entity's property-related capital works program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular project progress status and financial reports; prepare, review, and present project board papers, reports, briefing notes, and submissions.
- Prepare tender documentation and obtain approvals for project works in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Entity procurement procedures.
- Assist in the tendering process, including documentation, evaluation, and recommendation for preferred vendors. Manage contractors, consultants, and other industry professionals.
- Prepare project briefs for internal clients, architects, and services consultants. Identify, develop, implement, and manage project risk and incident registers.
Key Competencies & Attributes:
- Previous experience managing construction projects within State Government or the Federal Government (Required).
- Construction project management experience of less than 10 years only.
- Proven experience and understanding of - Property project management, Contract management, Tendering processes, budget management and reporting etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including negotiation and representational skills, with the ability to prepare comprehensive business cases, technical reports, and briefing material
