Our client, a highly regarded cosmetics & skincare brand in Ireland & Europe, are looking for a Financial Controller to join them initially on a 3-6 month contract, with view for permanency.
With offices in Co.Meath, they are operating with a hybrid working model (4 days onsite).

The role
As a key player in the finance team, the Financial Controller primary responsibility is to run the accounting activities of the organisation. She/he will report to the COO. A key part of this highly visible role is to provide the business with accurate analysis & intelligence to enable the organisation's business management within the S&OP process.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
- Generate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including processing invoices, making payments, and reconciling vendor accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, recording revenue, and following up on outstanding payments.
- Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards - VAT & Customs in all relevant countries
- Prepare and file financial reports and tax returns.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Utilize SAGE ERP systems to record and track financial transactions.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Agile mindset and can-do attitude to embed S&OP process in business practices - continuous planning, reforecasting, quarterly / event driven / rolling forecasting
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems
The Successful Applicant
- High calibre, ambitious, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5-10+ years PQE.
- Strong analytical skills, detailed driven individual with the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong Excel, good PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of Sage an advantage, not a must
