Our client, a Global Bank, are looking for a Legal Director (Third Party / Vendor) to join their Legal team based in London.
Responsibilities below:
- Global contract drafting and negotiating: Review, draft, and negotiate vendor contracts, including recognising and escalating vendor contractual issues with Vendor Management, Outsourcing, Data Protection, Legal, Information Security and business teams. Vendor contracts will include Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Software License Agreements, Subscription as a Service Agreements, Engagement Letters and Non-disclosure Agreements.
- Regulatory matters that impact commercial contracts: Advising the business on day-to-day legal and regulatory matters across all key jurisdictions and assisting the business with managing legal risk. For example, knowledge and experience in regulations that impact vendor contracts such as the EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Arrangements and Digital Operational Resilience Act. This will entail implementing and remediating contracts as a result of the regulatory requirements and also tracking for updates that may require revisions or enhancements to the remediated contracts.
- Understanding company products and Services: Manage vendor contract matters from start to finish which includes any or all of the following: taking instructions, gathering information, determining the appropriate course of action, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations re completion, reviewing and drafting legal documents, managing input from the business and external counsel if appropriate.
Previous experience within leading Legal teams is preferred.
