Head of Audit

Our client, a leading Bank, are looking for a Head of Audit, to join their team based in London.

Responsibilities below:

• Planning and directing the bank's auditing activities and preparing and submitting the department's audit plan to the Board Audit Committee and implementing it upon approval.
• Building an audit team that is of high calibre, prudent, experienced, and competent. Ensuring that all auditors possess necessary audit competence, skills and professional ethics.
• Actively promote and embed diversity and inclusion within all areas of responsibility, including recruitment, business as usual operations, performance management, employee engagement and retention.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of risk management programmes within the bank to ensure that risks are identified and managed appropriately.
• Conducting special audits and investigations into suspected misconduct by employees or board members.

Previous experience leading Audit teams and being SMF5 registered is preferred.
