Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant - Management Accounts Assistant to join a lovely, well established company based in Croydon who is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller with management accounts, financial analysis, budgets, transactional finance and reporting. This is a great varied Assistant Management Accountant role, working on a fixed term contract basis.
Salary: £37K
Hours: 8.30-5 Mon-Fri
Duration: 14 month maternity cover contract
Assistant Accountant duties:
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Support the Financial Controller and wider team with budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor and process expenses
- Management accounting
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Everyday transactional accounting such as; accounts payable, payment runs etc
- Review and provide recommendations for improving financial performance
Skills and experience required:
- Experience of working in a similar Assistant Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant type role
- Ideally part qualified
- Good IT skills and accounting packages such as; Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks or Xero
- Strong analytical skills
