    We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a key pharmaceuitcal client based in Limerick on a 12 month contract. This role will be instrumental in providing advanced engineering support for ongoing late-stage and commercial-scale manufacturing operations across a network of production sites. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless introduction of manufacturing processes into a key regional facility and with external manufacturing partners.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver expert-level engineering support for ongoing late-stage and commercial-scale manufacturing operations across multiple sites.
    • Support the seamless transition of production processes into a primary regional manufacturing hub and external manufacturing partners by conducting detailed assessments of manufacturing demands and facility fit.
    • Perform meticulous examination of production metrics to detect deviations or outliers, followed by rigorous root cause investigations.
    • Systematically review operational procedures, facility layouts, and equipment specifications to ensure uniformity and proactively identify areas for enhancing reliability, repeatability, compliance, and consistency.
    • Employ sound engineering and scientific methodologies to address intricate technical issues with both creative and practical approaches, working collaboratively to elevate product quality.
    • Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in all activities.
    • Contribute to the technical review of equipment and facility designs.
    • Participate in technology transfer projects, encompassing the evaluation of manufacturing requirements and capacities at receiving sites.
    • Provide technical support for the implementation of manufacturing processes at external manufacturing locations.
    • Engage in technical knowledge exchange and best practice projects across the global technical support network and the local manufacturing site.
    • Potentially supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical interns.

    Requirements:

    • Possession of a Bachelor's level qualification (or equivalent) in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • At least five years of relevant industry experience providing technical support within a regulated manufacturing sector.
    • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, effectively addressing complex technical challenges.
    • Adaptability and comfort in managing shifting priorities.
