Morgan McKinley are parterning with a reputable organsiation in Limerick to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to lead their large finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior leadership position with responsibility for financial control, reporting, governance, compliance, audit, tax, systems and finance transformation. The successful candidate will lead the finance function, strengthen controls and processes, develop finance talent and work closely with senior stakeholders to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall financial control and reporting framework.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain a strong balance sheet and control environment.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Oversee statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Manage internal and external audit relationships.
- Ensure tax, regulatory and governance requirements are met.
- Lead and develop a large finance team.
- Partner with the CFO, Executive Team and senior stakeholders.
- Provide financial insight to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
- Lead finance transformation and change initiatives.
- Drive standardisation, simplification and automation across finance processes.
- Support continuous improvement across the finance function.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Significant post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership, 10+ years.
- Proven experience across financial control, reporting and compliance within a large or complex organisation.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Experience partnering with Executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong finance systems and ERP experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
