Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive procurement strategies
- Enhance and review procurement policies and procedures
- Supervise daily procurement activities and manage staff assignments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine procurement systems and ensure clear documentation of specifications
- Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Track and report key metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate with inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels
- Assess and mitigate risks within the supply chain
- Determine optimal delivery schedules and quantities
- Monitor market trends and forecast demand in collaboration with Operations
- Develop and streamline vendor selection processes, maintaining a lean vendor list and benchmarking costs
- Identify and exploit supply chain opportunities, including cost reduction, contract negotiation, inventory management, and tendering
- Plan and align annual procurement strategies with overall business objectives
- Support the Estimating Department with precise and forward-looking unit pricing
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a procurement manager
- Bachelors Degree in related field and/or 5-7 years expereince
- Proven track record in strategic and day-to-day procurement project management
- Expereince in setting up procurement function and process implementation
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
- Strong planning and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
