The Opportunity:
We are seeking a results-oriented Head of Commercial & Business Development to join our senior management team. This pivotal role will be solely focused on accelerating business growth, expanding our market footprint, and enhancing our product and service offerings. You'll be deeply involved in all aspects of our ambitious journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and implement long-term commercial strategies to achieve sustainable growth, reporting directly to the CEO.
Revenue & Pipeline Management: Own revenue targets, forecasting, sales pipelines, and performance metrics.
Market Expansion: Explore and capitalize on new revenue streams, partnerships, and program offerings.
Product & Pricing Strategy: Collaborate on market positioning, pricing strategies, and new product launches.
Team & Organizational Development: Develop the broader team, contribute to recruitment, and oversee debt-funding requirements as the firm scales.
Operational & Digital Transformation: Lead continuous improvement projects, leveraging technology and financial systems to enhance customer service and streamline processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to financial procedures and accounting standards.
Desired Criteria:
Primary Degree (NFQ Level 8) or equivalent, or a Qualified Accountant.
Strong experience in a senior business development or commercial role, ideally within the financial/banking sector.
Excellent business development, leadership skills, and a proven track record.
Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable success in commercial/finance projects.
Experience in complex, fast-paced environments.
Ability to produce insightful reports and support data-driven decision-making.
Demonstrable track record of implementing change through technology.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to achieve tight deadlines and strong attention to detail.
