About the role:
Our client runs a regional wholesale and e-com business specialized in consumer electronics design, productions and distributions in various retail platforms. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Operations Manager to join the team. Candidates with minimum 8 years of supply chain operations and vendor management experience in consumer electronics sourcing/ trading businesses are required.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management across its vendor partners in China
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient, cost-effective supply chain strategies to support the company's global operations and growth objectives (Sourcing, Vendor Management and Development, Logistic control and QA QC monitoring)
- Manage relationships with key vendor partners in China, including contract negotiations, performance tracking, and issue resolution (15-20 nominated vendors in China)
- Oversee the procurement and logistics of raw materials, components, and finished goods from China to the global distribution hubs
- Optimize inventory levels and distribution networks to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery of products to our retail locations
- Lead a small team of supply chain professionals, providing training, development, and performance management
- Analyze supply chain data and KPIs to identify process improvements and drive continuous operational excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align supply with demand
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to international trade and logistics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in a supply chain operations management role, preferably in the consumer electronics or retail industry
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, especially in the context of managing vendor relationships and operations in China
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of supply chain management software and tools
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, both written and verbal
