DC Operator (contract)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and provide support for the 24/7 IT Monitoring Center operations, Data Center operations, and facilities
• Monitor events (IT infrastructures and application performance) and provide initial troubleshooting and support
• Perform defined operational tasks including system/batch jobs processing, systems and services health checks, and report generation
• Proactively aid the operations team in achieving objectives
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks and provide support as required
• Availability for 24/7 shift work

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
• Over a year of experience in the IT industry preferred
• Familiarity with cloud and virtualization technologies; possessing IT certifications (ITIL, Azure, Windows, Linux, Service management tools, etc) is advantageous
• Proficiency in programming languages like PowerShell, Java, and VBScript is a plus
• Experience with tools and technologies including SCCM, Datadog, and Azure Monitors
• Willingness to learn new technologies, automate tasks, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese
