A leading US manufacturing firm has a promising business growth in APAC and in recent 3 years with over 300 headcounts in HK. Considering business expansion and recent developed centralised procurement & e-tendering system in global office. They are hiring an Assistant Procurement Manager to manage the Transportation and Warehousing categories.
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement activities related to transportation and warehousing services
- Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies specific to transportation services
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and transportation service providers
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms and conditions
- Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs) to potential suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the transportation procurement function
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Supplier Management, Purchasing, Procurement, Facilities Management, or related subject
- Minimum 6+ years relevant experience in procurement preferably in MNC/ Sizable local organisation
- Strong knowledge of transportation procurement processes, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
