IT Infrastructure Specialist, 12 months contract

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, configure, and administer servers, storage, and backup systems.
• Assist with datacenter operations, including hardware moves, replacements, and arrangements with vendors.
• Perform Unix and Linux server upgrades, patching, and administration, and evaluate/implement automation to improve processes like patching, capacity monitoring, configuration management, and data backup/recovery.
• Assist with evaluating and standardizing server and storage hardware/software, and support upgrade and migration projects such as OS upgrades and SAN storage end-of-life migrations.

Skills Reqd.:

• At least 3 years of experience in supporting Unix/Linux systems and backup tools like CommVault or NetBackup.
• Hands-on experience in datacenter operations, including familiarity with server hardware specifications, cabling, and equipment.
• Solid working experience in SAN storage and SAN switch administration.
• Good knowledge of network protocols, Ethernet, VLAN, routing, and IP. Familiarity with Ansible and shell scripting is an advantage.
• Proficient in Chinese and English
