Financial Controller (Insurance - FS)

Morgan McKinley is exclusively working with a growing Insurance business in Brighton, East Sussex in the appointment of an experienced and qualified Financial Controller.

Our client, a market leader in their field is continuously growing making this a truly an exciting time to join the business. The successful applicant will relish the opportunity to get stuck in within a high volume and fast paced environment.

Salary: £70K per annum + Bonus & Benefits

Location: Brighton, East Sussex - Hybrid working (1-2 days office p/w)

Hours: 9am - 5.30pm

The role:

• Overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting
• Monthly close, with full responsibility
• Preparation of financial reports in compliance with US GAAP and bank / reg reporting
• Managing UK statutory audit
• UK VAT Process
• Supporting with group external audit
• Managing and overseeing a small finance team

Skills and experience:

• Background in Insurance / Financial Services is highly desirable
• Demonstratable experience managing a finance team
• Experience of high volume environments
• Qualified - ACA / ACCA / CIMA - or equivalent
