This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operational leader with strong commercial awareness to take ownership of a flagship branch, driving efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
As Warehouse & Distribution Branch Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the branch, spanning warehouse, distribution, logistics, sales, and customer service functions. You will ensure operational excellence while delivering against financial targets and identifying growth opportunities in a competitive market.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of strategic oversight and tactical execution. You will be accountable for developing and motivating your team, strengthening customer and supplier relationships, and ensuring the branch achieves its operational and commercial objectives.
Operational Management: Oversee warehouse, distribution, inventory control, and order fulfilment to ensure a seamless and efficient operation.
Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a multi-disciplinary team, building capability and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Customer & Supplier Engagement: Build long-term relationships with key customers and suppliers, ensuring service excellence, retention, and business growth.
Commercial Performance: Manage branch P&L, budgets, and margins. Analyse performance, implement corrective actions, and deliver on financial targets.
Market Awareness: Monitor local market trends and competitor activity, identifying new opportunities to grow market share.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.
Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management on KPIs, sales performance, expenses, and profitability.
Degree in Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role within warehouse, distribution, or related operational environments.
Proven track record of delivering year-on-year growth and improving operational performance.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and mentor staff.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and interpreting financial data to drive decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
