This role is responsible for a key centralised outside counsel resourcing service for lawyers in EMEA. You will be working with our strategic outside counsel partners, platform owners, and colleagues in CELA, to drive governance, utilisation and improvements to the service.
We seek an experienced Legal Service Management professional who can use their breadth of expertise to understand the business needs and provide solutions and improvements to deliver this with support from our trusted outside counsels.
What You Do; Responsibilities
Service Management
- Develops and implements service standards and procedures for supplier law firms and the business.
- Defines service management KPIs and leverages data insights to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Helps onboard new suppliers and 'offboard' non-preferred suppliers.
- Works closely with finance controllers and the EMEA Legal Commercial Leadership Team to manage and report on regional budgets.
- Drives prioritisation of organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes needed to support continued service improvements and developments.
- Contributes to decision-making meetings to define the criteria for law firm suppliers in EMEA.
Stakeholder Management
- Drives day-to-day operations and planning. Helps to manage teams' rhythm of business (ROB), attends key meetings, ensures timely response to action items and fields and gathers information about engagement asks.
- Partners closely with the Commercial Leadership Team to land operational and quality excellence strategies internally and across external legal suppliers.
- Collaborates with multiple business and legal delivery partners (incl. Attorneys, Paralegals, and Management) across the EMEA Legal Team.
- Creates and presents regular reports to senior management.
- Works closely with external service management teams at suppliers to monitor service delivery, action feedback, and ensure high-quality output.
- Engages in continuous improvement of operational excellence by collaborating across internal teams and with external suppliers.
Change Management
- Partners across teams to raise awareness of change and to support teams through the journey of change.
- Supports communication efforts through the design, development, delivery, and management of communications to drive service adoption.
- Gather information to support development of storytelling content to articulate strategies, results and goals for internal and external forums.
- Facilitates information sharing of change through various tools and employee platforms and employee networks.
- Prepares business users for change due to implementation of new service developments.
- Implements and monitors changes/adoptions.
- Builds synergies across groups and models leadership principles to successfully execute service management and accountability.
Legal Operations
- Ad hoc ongoing support with legal operations in the CELA EMEA legal team. including cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment.

What You Need; Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organisational Development or related field
- 4+ years Operations or Service Management or Program/Project Management experience OR equivalent experience.
- Experience of executing large scale change management projects in a large organisation.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple 5+ years of relevant experience
- Master's Degree in Operations, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, HR, Organisational Development
- Experience in a legal background is preferred but not mandatory
