Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee a major industrial construction project in Dún Laoghaire. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and extensive project management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the construction project from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Manage and mentor project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee procurement and management of materials and resources.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, MRICS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
