ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an autonomous, hands-on Senior AI Solutions Engineer (L6) to join our growing platform engineering team in Dublin.
In this role, you will act as a technical leader and driving force behind the adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Generative AI workflows across our platform ecosystem. Operating with a high degree of independence, you will partner directly with key business stakeholders to rapidly explore, prototype, and deliver AI-enabled software solutions.
You will combine practical software engineering expertise with strong stakeholder management, enterprise technical judgment, and a passion for establishing modern AI-native engineering capabilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Solution Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Partner directly with business leaders and operational stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities and shape AI-enabled software solutions.
- Drive projects independently from initial concept and rapid prototyping through iterative user validation to production readiness.
- Champion and extensively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to design, generate, test, debug, and refine software.
- Experiment rapidly with technical approaches, making pragmatic decisions on when to iterate, pivot, or stop.
Software Engineering & Governance
- Apply rigorous engineering judgment to review, validate, and optimize AI-generated code and system architectures.
- Architect secure, scalable, maintainable solutions suitable for enterprise environments.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Security Leads, and Engineering Leads to ensure alignment with target enterprise architecture, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
AI Capability Building & Adoption
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, multi-model strategies, and vendor ecosystems.
- Develop and share reusable prompt engineering templates, agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementations, and RAG architectures across engineering teams.
- Mentor and coach other engineers, helping build a modern, AI-native engineering capability across the wider organization.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with product management, architecture, data, and business stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical business users, challenge assumptions constructively, and use regular user feedback to drive practical outcomes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Essential Technical Experience
- AI Engineering & Leadership: 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of designing, building, and delivering AI-enabled applications.
- Advanced AI Patterns: Deep understanding of prompt engineering, LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search/embeddings, and responsible AI practices.
- Modern AI Tooling: Deep hands-on experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).
- Enterprise Software Engineering: Proven expertise in modern software engineering practices, Agile delivery, secure development, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Confident communication and leadership skills with experience working directly with business users and senior tech managers.
Desirable / Useful Exposure (Nice to Have)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- REST APIs, event-driven architectures, test automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
