We are seeking a Revenue Controller to lead the revenue accounting function of a global company based in Dublin. This role is responsible for overseeing revenue, billing operations, and accounts receivable functions. You will ensure the accuracy of day-to-day accounting processes, manage month-end close activities, and support both internal decision-making and external reporting requirements. This role is pivotal in delivering accurate financial information and will have significant visibility across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage global billing operations, ensuring invoices and credit memos are prepared accurately and on time.
- Oversee the revenue accounting close process, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and US GAAP adjustments.
- Present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue results and KPIs to senior leadership.
- Review sales commission calculations in line with company policy.
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance and other internal teams (e.g., Legal, Sales, Operations) for revenue recognition and contract reviews.
- Assist in external audits, prepare revenue-related workpapers, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA QQualified).
- Extensive experience in revenue accounting, including familiarity with ASC-606 and subscription services.
- Exposure to lease accounting (ASC-842).
- Strong Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Experience with public accounting and a detail-oriented approach to work.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a public company.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Oracle.
Working Arrangements:
This is a hybrid position, with flexibility to work from home and regular time in the office. Minimal travel may be required.
