A client based in Dublin is seeking a Utilities Engineer to join their team on a 12-month hourly rate contract.
The Utility Project Engineer reports to the Senior Manager of Strategic Engineering Projects and is responsible for managing technical projects related to utility systems at the facility. Key areas of focus include controlled temperature units (cold rooms, fridges, freezers) and GMP HVAC systems, as well as clean utilities (WFI, clean steam, purified water) and other utilities like glycol, instrument air, and water systems. The role involves overseeing commissioning and qualification of new equipment and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute utility projects, including project prioritization, resource allocation, and external communication.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and ensure requirements are met, from concept to operation.
- Coordinate the introduction of new processes, equipment, and materials, troubleshooting issues prior to qualification.
- Support maintenance program development and spare parts inventory optimization.
- Manage change controls and contribute to multidisciplinary site teams.
- Develop specifications, engineering documents, protocols, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with system owners, maintenance, and vendors on equipment upgrades and retrofits.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and company policies.
- Travel may be required for project execution.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
- 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Proven project management experience and mechanical expertise.
- Experience in a GDP-compliant environment and proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and document management systems.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
