Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong expertise in equipment design and maintenance to join a large project team on a long term hourly rate basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment related to the project is designed, constructed, and commissioned in full compliance with functional specifications and regulatory standards. This is a key position that will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality results.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Work with project managers to complete design and engineering projects within schedule, budget and quality constraints
- Work with research, manufacturing, process development, utilities, facilities, QA and validation departments in developing requirements and recommendations for large and/or highly complex system & equipment modifications.
- Coordinate the work of vendors, consultants and engineering firms on development of standard design documents.
- Supervise, coordinate and review work of a small staff of engineers, associated and/or techniques within area of engineering expertise.
- Employ advanced engineering techniques and/or modifications of advanced techniques within area of engineering expertise.
- Maintain project budgets encompassing multiple disciplines for areas within assigned projects.
- Qualifications & Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree in Engineering, science
- 6-8+ years of relevant work experience with pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment
- Proven experience working as part of a high value projects team
- Direct experience with regulated environment (e.g. GMP, OSHA, EPA)
- Familiarity with validation processes and protocols will be an advantage
- Strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential
