Product Owner - Contract
📍 Dublin (Hybrid) | 📅 6-month daily rate contract (view to extend)
We're working with a leading financial services organisation who are looking to bring in an experienced Product Owner to join a cross-functional team delivering key software initiatives in a complex, enterprise environment.
You'll act as the link between business stakeholders and engineering, owning the backlog and ensuring features are clearly defined, prioritised, and delivered to a high standard.
The Role
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it's aligned to business goals
- Define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Act as the main point of contact for product-related queries
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth, high-quality delivery
- Ensure solutions meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
- Support delivery across multiple workstreams in a complex environment
- Contribute to documentation, design, and some architectural discussions
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in a complex or enterprise environment
- Strong experience working in Agile teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working closely with engineering teams on technical delivery
- Experience managing and prioritising backlogs effectively
- Financial services experience is a strong plus
- Payments or transaction-based systems experience would be ideal
