We have an exciting opportunity for a strong Bookkeeper or Company Accountant with a financial services company based in Dublin 18.
- Parttime: 3 or 4 days per week ( full days, mornings or afternoons, flexible)

A small, ambitious office and growing! With operations in IRL & UK. This is a newly created role and will suit someone who likes to manage their own time, day and desk whilst working as part of the wider office team. We are looking for someone who has plenty of initiative and creativity to put structures in place.
You will take full ownership of the day to day accounting activities, reporting to the COO and working closely with the external Accountant.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable, Dealing with customer/supplier queries
- Daily processing of supplier/customer invoices and cashbook/bank entries
- Receive and process creditors invoices, prepare and process creditors payments.
- Process Bank entries and Bank reconciliations
- Preparation and Submission of VAT Returns
- General filing and ad hoc office management
- Payroll - preparing employee wages
- Expenses - managing employee expense claims on Sage HR and in Malta
- Weekly & Monthly Financial reporting - preparing financial statements, income & expenditure
- Weekly updates to CEO of Client Premium Bank Account
- Weekly update to CEO RE Accounts across multiple currencies versus budget expectations
- Completing VAT returns
- Liaising with external Group accountant and alerting them of discrepancies/errors
Daily responsibilities will include the following:
- Processing sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Developing a system to track your company's financial transactions by creating a chart of accounts and a set of clearly defined bookkeeping procedures and policies.
- Verification, allocation and posting of transactions to maintain subsidiary accounts.
- Balancing the general ledger through the preparation of a trial balance.
- Compliance with relevant legal, corporate governance, requirements by carefully studying these requirements, enforcing company adherence, filing reports and advising management on the necessary actions.
- Preparation of invoices for the Office of the Revenue Commissioners.
- Preparation of the Profit & Loss sheets for your company's annual accounts.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years' experience within a busy Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeping role
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of ROS, submissions, agent link, registrations and My Enquiries
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software/application
- Strong knowledge of excel.
- Professionally persistent in achieving deadlines.
- Account Technician qualified or similar.
Nice to have: Knowledge of Sage Accounting/ Xero / QuickBooks - would be an advantage
