Job Title: Part-time Bookkeeper

Company Overview:
Excellent opportunity with a well-established SME based in Dublin 8, offering a friendly and collaborative work environment. We are looking for a part-time bookkeeper who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking full responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping operations. You will work closely with the external accountant to ensure that all financial records are accurately maintained.
This is a standalone role in a small and personable office and will suit someone who likes to manage their own time day and desk.
- Flexible working hours (3-4 days per week or mornings/afternoons)
- 50:50 hybrid working
Key Responsibilities:
Debtors Management
- Processing Receipts: ensuring that debtor accounts are kept up to date.
- Customer Statements: Generate customer statements, following up on overdue
- Invoicing ensure all sales invoices are issued in a timely manner
Creditors Management
- Processing and Managing Purchase Orders (POs)
- Reconciliation of Supplier Statements: ensuring all outstanding balances are managed
- Supplier Payments: Prepare and schedule payments to suppliers
Bank Management
- Setting up IBB Payments,
- Managing Bank Reconciliations and Visa Statements:
- Cashflow Management: Maintain and update cash flow forecasts
Returns & Compliance
- VAT Returns (Bi-Monthly)
- Intrastat Reports (Monthly):
- VIES Returns (Quarterly): ensuring compliance with European reporting standards
- PRL Returns (Monthly)
- Recycling & Waste Management Reports (Annually)
Adhoc Office & Administrative Duties
- General Office Management: Oversee office supplies and utilities, of stationery, office phones, utilities such as ESB, and services including rent and rates.
- Filing and Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate filing systems for financial records
- Adhoc answering phone calls as part of a small office
Audit & Revenue Compliance
Skills & Experience:
- 3-6 years' experience within a busy Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeping role
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with bookkeeping software/application
- Strong knowledge of excel.
- Professionally persistent in achieving deadlines.
- Account Technician qualified or similar is advantageous
- You will be working closely with the external accountant and other team members, so clear and professional communication skills are key.
- Experience with Quickbooks is advantageous
