Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join a growing team in Dublin. This is a permanent role with hybrid working options.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for IT-related goods and services, focusing on strategic sourcing and procurement. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and service for the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for IT categories.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish supplier relationships.
- Managing indirect spend for IT, hardware and software categories and developing category strategy with a focus on cost saving and achieving value for money.
- Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor agreements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
- Resolve any supplier issues or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to assess procurement performance and identify areas for improvement.
Key requirements:
- 5 years of experience in IT procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and a proven track record of managing complex procurement projects and negotiating with suppliers.
- Experience in the technology sector, with a deep understanding of IT products and services.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
