A senior finance leadership opportunity with a leading FMCG organisation, offering the chance to take a central role in the continued growth and development of the business.
This position will sit at the heart of the organisation, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and wider business to influence strategic direction, improve performance and ensure the finance function continues to add real commercial value.
The successful candidate will be more than a technical finance leader. They will bring strong commercial judgement, challenge the business where required and use financial insight to help shape key decisions around growth, investment and performance.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the commercial finance agenda, overseeing FP&A and Business Partnering while acting as a key adviser to senior stakeholders.
Your remit will include:
- Working alongside the ELT & SLT to shape business strategy and financial priorities.
- Driving a forward-looking FP&A and commercial finance agenda across the organisation.
- Providing insight and challenge around revenue, margins, costs, profitability and overall business performance.
- Leading the financial planning process, including annual budgets, forecasting and long-range planning.
- Supporting the evaluation of acquisitions, investments and other significant commercial opportunities.
- Developing financial models and business cases to support major strategic decisions.
- Identifying emerging risks and opportunities and translating them into clear actions for the wider business.
- Helping shape the organisation's financial direction and supporting its growth ambitions over the medium to long term.
- Building and developing a strong finance team, creating an environment focused on performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with 10+ years of post-qualified experience.
- Experience working in a commercially focused finance environment, ideally FMCG, Retail or Retail is essential
- Strong experience across FP&A, commercial finance and business partnering.
- The ability to operate comfortably with senior executives and influence decisions beyond the finance function.
- Experience assessing investments, acquisitions and strategic business cases.
- A strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, modelling and performance management.
- Proven experience managing, developing and motivating finance professionals.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present complex financial information in a clear and commercially relevant way.
