Morgan McKinley are delighted to partner with an innovative and fast-growing startup in the FMCG sector, based in Dublin. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Global Inventory Receiving Manager to join their team and help drive their growth.
As the Global Inventory Receiving Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing accurate & efficient management of dry & wet goods as well as finished inventory globally, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with global standards. You will play a critical role in establishing and optimizing receiving operations while coordinating with other global sites to ensure seamless integration into their supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying, implementing & maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Develop & implement inventory control procedures in line with company policy
- Responsible for accuracy of inventory levels, identification of issues and resolution
- Work with stakeholders to identify & minimise inventory write off risk
- Develop reporting tools, lead communication of performance metrics, including stock turns, wastage, storage costs etc
- Maintenance of documentation in relation to audits, as well as day to day inventory management
- Implement inventory management best practice such as JIT, lean principles, etc
- Responsible for identifying cost saving initiatives
- Internal stakeholder engagement to continuously review safety stock levels
- Collaboration with third parties on optimisation of stock handling & storage processes to reduce costs
- Support new product launches
- Manage stock obsolescence with project teams & ensure accurate/timely reduction & write off of stock
- Manage a team of 3 inventory clerks, responsible for global inventory
- Responsible for hiring, training, ongoing performance management, coaching & development of team
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Inventory Management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in a startup environment or fast-growing company is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ensure WMS is fit for purpose, accurate setting of master data as required,
- Continually review and evolve tools to ensure efficiency of data collection & reporting as well as accuracy of data thorough understanding of stock management principles & best practice
