As the Global Health & Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in centralizing governance, implementing standardized systems, and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols across multiple regions where operates. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to safeguard the well-being of our employees & customers and promote a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Centralization: Establish and maintain centralised governance frameworks for health and safety management across all regions, ensuring alignment with local regulations and global standards.
Policy Development: Develop comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to the specific needs and regulatory requirements of each region, while also ensuring consistency and standardisation company-wide.
Implementation & Training: Oversee the implementation of health and safety initiatives, including training programs, risk assessments, and emergency response protocols, ensuring all employees are adequately trained and equipped to perform their roles safely.
Compliance Assurance: Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
Incident Management: Lead investigations into health and safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures to minimize the risk of recurrence.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on health and safety data and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, human resources, and legal teams, as well as external partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, to promote a culture of safety and share best practices.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and business continuity procedures, ensuring the organization is prepared to effectively respond to health and safety emergencies and crises.
