As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will take a leadership role in managing complex geotechnical projects and guiding junior engineers. You'll play a pivotal part in delivering high-profile infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers and geologists.
- Oversee the delivery of geotechnical design packages for major projects.
- Manage client relationships and provide specialized geotechnical advice.
- Plan and execute ground investigation contracts.
- Design earthworks, foundations, and other geotechnical elements to Eurocode 7.
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and tender documents.
- Contribute to business development and project management activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in geotechnical design, including major road, rail, or civil projects.
- Chartered status desirable (CEng, MICE, or equivalent).
- Strong leadership and project management experience.
- Expertise in soft ground techniques, soil reinforcement, piling, and retaining walls.
- Excellent proficiency in geotechnical design software (GeoStudio, Holebase/Openground).
- Exceptional communication, client liaison, and report writing skills.
- A valid full clean driver's license.
