I am delighted to be partnering with a high growth, leading energy organisation on a Financial Accountant position. Based in Dublin city centre, this is a unique opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join an organisation at a pivotal stage of its growth journey.
This role would suit a Newly Qualified Accountant/ 1 year Post Qualified Experience who is looking to work in a small team and be happy working across the breadth of operations within this fast-growing energy business as the organisation scales quickly over the coming years.
Responsibilities of the role span the full cycle of accounting operations, including the management of financial records and reporting, the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, variance analysis, producing information for use in strategic decision-making, as well as working with third party service providers.
This role reports to the Interim Finance Manager with a dotted line to the Group FD
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day finance, working with other key stakeholders and service providers
- Contribute to production of monthly financial results, monitoring cash flow and provide initial analysis for review for monthly reporting
- Assisting the Interim Finance Manager during the audit and preparation of the annual financial statements
- Assisting the Interim Finance Manager and Group FD with interaction with external statutory auditors
- Initial review and analysis of operational reports focussing on financial aspects
- Through an outsourced service provider, manage the company's finance systems, including maintaining robust underlying records, maintaining master data and updating asset registers
- Assist the Interim Finance Manager and Group FD in the preparation of management and board reports and presentations
- Assist where necessary with any business development work in relation to asset due diligence, adviser team management and financial modelling
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with up to 1 year PQE (Big 4)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Attention to detail
- Commercial acumen, Emotional Intelligence, Motivated self-starter with the ability working on your own or as part of a team
- Experience of other functional areas - IT, HR and Legal
