Provide expert technical advice and guidance on all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters to ensure EHS remains a core focus for all site changes and projects.
Support New Product Introductions and Changes: Collaborate on new product launches or technical changes, evaluating impacts on health, safety, and the environment while recommending appropriate control measures.
EHS Programme Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Environmental Compliance: Continuously monitor compliance with the Industrial Emissions Licence (IEL), ensuring all conditions are met and timely notifications are sent to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Regulatory Engagement and Legal Compliance: Liaise with EHS regulatory bodies, ensuring all legal requirements are identified, managed, and adhered to. Stay current with statutory changes and industry best practices.
Process Safety and Occupational Hygiene: Promote high standards of process safety and occupational hygiene, aligning with the pharmaceutical industry's operational excellence.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain EHS performance scorecards and dashboards, providing clear summary reports and communications to stakeholders.
Risk Management Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies and tactical plans to address key EHS risks across the business.
Process Design and Risk Assessments: Apply EHS expertise to influence process design/redesign and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical safety and environmental standards. Conduct risk assessments for all processes, occupational activities, and environmental factors.
EHS Training Management: Oversee the EHS training curriculum, ensuring all employees receive appropriate instruction and training to carry out their roles safely and responsibly.
Audits and Inspections: Lead internal audits and EHS walkabouts, identifying practical solutions to resolve any deficiencies identified.
Incident Investigation: Drive the investigation process for EHS incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and robust corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Collect, report, and analyze EHS data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and implement targeted improvement initiatives.
Sustainability Programs: Support waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency, and other environmental sustainability initiatives as required.
Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we are seeking candidates with a strong mix of the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum of 5 years' EHS experience in a cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
Previous experience in an EHS management role is a strong advantage.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering.
A minimum of a Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety or Environmental Management.
