Business Analyst Manager - Trade Compliance
Job Purpose
This senior role is dedicated to ensuring seamless interoperability of processes across SAP S/4HANA and related integrated systems. The position focuses on maximising the use of SAP S/4HANA standard processes to meet business requirements while promoting cross-divisional consistency. As a leader in the creation of new digital platform workflows, the role aims to optimise benefits for all stakeholders while minimising deviations from standard practices.
This is a management role with direct oversight of one or more Business Analysts and indirect supervision of additional business resources involved in the program's design, system testing, UAT, and go-live phases. The role requires close collaboration with specialised teams to ensure that business needs are fully represented across Functional Design, Development, Security, Data Migration, Change Management, and Training.
This position is pivotal in driving organisational change, fostering adoption of new processes, and aligning divisional goals in a positive, mutually beneficial manner.
Functional Area of Responsibility The Business Process Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Trade Compliance-related activities throughout both phases of the program.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide deep insight into current business operations and ensure divisional and common functional requirements are integrated into the design process.
- Lead the design and implementation of new workflows, leveraging SAP S/4HANA standard processes to meet business needs and promote cross-divisional alignment.
- Negotiate and influence key stakeholders to ensure alignment with common and standard processes in a positive and constructive manner.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient execution and strong commitment to the program.
- Use your extensive business knowledge to support the Change Management team in guiding the business through the change curve, maximising technology adoption and minimising resistance.
- Collaborate closely with other Business Process Managers and Functional Consultants to ensure the integrity and efficiency of end-to-end processes.
- Lead Business Analyst(s) in fulfilling their responsibilities during the Explore, Build, Test, and Deploy phases of the program.
- Manage the objectives, performance, and professional development of your direct reports.
- Oversee part-time business resources allocated to the program as needed.
- Work effectively with specialised teams to ensure they understand business requirements and support them in achieving their goals.
- Provide both short-term and long-term guidance to the team and key stakeholders.
- Support system testing throughout the implementation phases.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of end-user training materials.
- Play an essential role in deployment and cutover planning activities, ensuring business risks are understood, appropriate mitigation strategies are in place, and securing business approval for deployment.
- Collaborate with the post-go-live support team to assist the business in transitioning to the new solution, serving as a primary contact for resolving business queries and issues that do not require system changes.
Your Profile

- You bring 5 + years of experience in a senior role within SMR and possess a strong understanding of the business.
- You have a robust working knowledge of the functional areas relevant to this role, with the ability to anticipate challenges and roadblocks.
- Your stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating skills are highly developed.
- You are skilled at challenging the status quo and aligning stakeholders to achieve optimal business solutions in a constructive manner.
- With exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, you are proficient in the MS Office Suite and highly organised with strong planning and people management capabilities.
- You hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in project and/or change management is preferred.
International travel may be required.
