As the Automation Engineer you will support new manufacturing projects, specifying, purchasing, and managing the implementation of manufacturing solutions for customer product introductions.
This is an hourly rate contract role with a leading client in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee new equipment process and product introduction projects.
- Form and manage project teams by determining deliverables, timelines, and budgets, prioritizing tasks, and providing reports to fulfil the requirements of the business and its customers.
- Establish relationships with the customers and equipment suppliers in pursuit of new business, product development, manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that new equipment meets the regulatory requirements of the business, validation, health, and safety etc.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across the business to ensure that new processes meet their requirements.
- Identify, specify, and introduce new manufacturing methods and opportunities into the company.
- Manage equipment suppliers ensuring delivery meets specification, cost, and time.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A Level 7 Degree in Automation, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- 3 years' experience in engineering with a knowledge of EU-GMP.
- Experience working with the hardware and software components of PLCs and vision control systems. Preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and Cognex Vision systems.
- Preferably worked in either the medical, packaging, or technological industries with a good understanding of the regulatory requirements and exposure to serialization.
