What Will You Do?
- Lead the delivery of a diverse range of audit assignments across various sectors.
- Plan audit assignments thoroughly and brief staff in advance on specific risks.
- Draft high-quality financial statements and audit reports with practical recommendations to address identified risks and control weaknesses, providing clear rationale.
- Manage multiple audit assignments simultaneously, ensuring effective and efficient use of time and resources.
- Liaise and build relationships with client staff in all departments to facilitate and support the audit process.
- Keep the Partner informed of significant issues related to the work being undertaken and any concerns.
- Deliver high-standard audit assignments in conformance with FRS102 and Irish GAAP, addressing key risks effectively and adhering to allocated timescales, budgets, and resources.
- Understand and comply with the authority levels of this role and those of relevant stakeholders, ensuring full compliance with the Firm's policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support managers in supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff on audit assignments, and participate fully in Performance Management initiatives.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- 3+ years of practical experience, particularly with Irish GAAP and FRS102.
- Demonstrable understanding of risk, Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, with awareness of current issues.
- Strong knowledge of developing audit strategies and Terms of Engagement for individual assignments.
- Technical competence in FRS102, Irish and UK GAAP, and CA2014.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
