The Opportunity
I'm recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a well-established food business, with responsibility for the technical function across an international supplier base.
This is a non-manufacturing, supplier-focused role - ideal for an experienced Technical or Quality professional looking to step away from the day-to-day manufacturing environment and take a broader, more strategic approach to technical management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical and quality function.
- Manage supplier approval and ongoing supplier compliance.
- Oversee supplier audits, including international travel where required.
- Ensure COAs, specifications and technical documentation are current and compliant.
- Maintain and develop the QMS, HACCP and BRC requirements.
- Manage food safety and quality compliance across the global supply base.
- Provide technical advice on legislation, packaging and nutritional requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and resolve technical issues.
- Lead and develop the technical team.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced food industry professional with 8+ years' experience, ideally with a strong background in:
- Technical / Quality management
- Supplier approval and auditing
- Food safety and QMS
- HACCP and BRC
- International supplier management
- Food legislation and regulatory compliance
- Leading and developing technical teams
