About the Role
As the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll take the lead in maintaining and enhancing food safety standards across the site. You'll be responsible for implementing robust quality systems, overseeing compliance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence from sea to shelf.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance department to ensure team effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the organization.
- Maintain and develop systems that support all aspects of food safety compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Irish and EU regulatory standards.
- Conduct internal audits and drive follow-up corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Production, Sales, and Innovation teams to uphold supplier quality standards.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, providing expert guidance to the business.
- Lead all technical aspects of customer audits and site visits.
- Implement and monitor technical standards to support best-in-class operations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance performance and inspire the QA team.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Food Science or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar quality assurance or technical role.
- Proven leadership in food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
- Strong understanding of food processing operations.
- Familiarity with standards such as IFS, Organic certification.
- HACCP certification and in-depth knowledge of food safety regulations.
