Senior Business Intelligence position, Permanent Opportunity based in Cork.
We're looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to help our client turn data into valuable insights that drive strategic decisions. In this role, you'll create reports, identify growth opportunities, and suggest improvements. You'll work closely with teams across the company-including analysts, data scientists, engineers, and product managers-to understand business needs, track key performance metrics, and develop dashboards to monitor important initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Extrapolate and consolidate data from various sources by ensuring data integrity and accuracy before creating reports/dashboards.
- Clean, transform, and manipulate data using SQL and basic statistical methods to prepare the data for analysis.
- Partnering with the Data team, develop data models, databases, and data systems that will be used for analytical purposes.
- Utilize analytical tools and techniques to conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns of the data.
- Develop and maintain clear and concise reports and dashboards leveraging PowerBI to track key performance indicators and business metrics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Document anomalies/data issues to the Technology team on a continual basis.
- Communicate findings effectively using insight storytelling to stakeholders through presentations and reporting, ensuring insights are clear, actionable, and relevant to the business stakeholder.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide insights/recommendations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience: 6 + years of commercial experience in BI/ data analytics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerBI, SQL, Snowflake/ Databricks.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
