Newly or Part Qualified Accountant - Bantry

We're looking for a Newly or Nearly Qualified Account to join a growing Accounting team in West Cork. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with clients, producing high-quality financial information, and continuing to build their technical and professional skills in a supportive environment.

You'll work across financial reporting, management accounts and tax compliance, with real responsibility and clear progression.

What you will be doing:

• Preparation of financial statements for clients
• Preparation of financial highlights disclosures for financial statements
• Preparation of management accounts on a periodic basic (monthly/quarterly/etc)
• Preparation of excel schedules and notes as support for financial statements
• Liaising with external parties in relation to financial statements, including investment managers, administrators, auditors and other service providers
• Present financial statements for review to the Practice Manager/Principal
• Assistance with research of complicated transactions to ensure the accounting treatment is correct

Requirements

• Professional qualification (or currently pursing)
• Experience in an accounting or practice environment (advantageous, not restrictive)
• Good working knowledge of IFRS / GAAP (or the desire to deepen it)
• Strong organisation and time-management skills
• Clear communication skills and a professional client approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Excel
• A genuine interest in career progression and development
