My client is seeking an experienced Lead Automation Consultant to join their team in Cork.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, vendor management and extensive experience with automation solutions. You will need to demonstrate a clear track record of collaboration, stakeholder management with both internal & external vendors. While programming skills are not required, early experience with coding or technical projects is beneficial. This is a 12 month hourly rate contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing of various vendors for automated equipment
- Work closely with vendors to understand their capabilities and how they align with company needs
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automated systems to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
- Ability to handle multiple vendor relationships simultaneously and ensure alignment with project goals
- Basic understanding of automation technologies and early experience with coding will help communicate technical requirements effectively
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience managing vendors in the automation & engineering space, with a proven track record of successfully implementing automated systems
- Provide examples of successful vendor management in previous roles
- Programming is not required but experience with coding is preferred
- Communication and negotiation skills are highly desirable
- Role requires 5 days on site
