New contract role available for an Equipment Engineer in Cork to engineer and implement highly capable and effective manufacturing processes.
As the Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical & engineering maintenance and calibration support involved in delivering equipment/fixture type solutions that result in optimum manufacturing practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the introduction and validation of new equipment
- Work with Value Streams to identify opportunities for equipment improvement - automation, vision systems, robotics etc
- Engage with Product Development to determine the necessary equipment for new items
- Collaborate with external vendors to review equipment proposals, vendor selection and capital approval
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production/engineering issues
- New equipment validation; ensuring that Maintenance and Calibration requirements are built into new equipment specification
- Transfer and validation of equipment from other sites
- Assist in troubleshooting automated equipment related to production
- Ensure relevant documentation is prepared and updated in line with all Quality and Regulatory guidelines and promotes full compliance to all GMP and E&AS requirements
Skills, Attributes & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science or related field.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role within a GMP regulated environment
- Prior experience working within Medical Devices will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work within a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively
- Strong technical attitude and problem solving abilities
- 5 days a week onsite requirements
