New opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a business that is in a new phase of growth and innovation.
This role will work mainly in the office based in North Cork and work with a close knit Credit Control team.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Account Management: Oversee the collection and resolution of outstanding balances for an assigned customer database.
- Customer Support: Respond promptly to customer queries and ensure excellent communication.
- Credit Applications: Manage the completion of new customer/credit application forms and verify trade references.
- Credit Limit Management: Prepare and process credit limit increase applications.
- Adherence to Procedures: Ensure compliance with company credit control, lodgement, and cash handling policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with management and sales teams to provide updates on accounts.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with both external and internal customers.
- Month-End Processes: Complete all necessary month-end tasks and maintain accurate financial records.
- Digital Tools: Use portals for invoice processing and manage invoice discounting sales and reports.
- Reporting and Analysis: Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to develop debt reports, perform trend analysis, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Process Innovation: Leverage digital tools, automation, and project management methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and advanced Excel.
- Qualities: Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
- Customer Focus: A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering positive relationships.
