Morgan McKinley is currently partnering with a market-leading commercial enterprise to recruit a high-caliber Commercial Accountant for an initial 12-month contract.
Our client is seeking a commercially minded, proactive accounting professional to act as a finance partner to the operational and commercial side of the business. Sitting closely with operational teams, you will play a central role in driving performance, providing value-adding insights, and supporting strategic commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner directly with operational teams to challenge performance, track targets, and drive growth.

Deliver timely reporting on sales, margin, and income, delivering clear commentary on key drivers and variances.

Own the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting.

Evaluate commercial projects, and support operational initiatives.

Lead the financial agenda for monthly business unit reviews to guide senior operational decisions.

Maintain internal controls and maintain financial governance across activities.
What We're Looking For:

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.

Strong desire to work closely with business units outside of core finance, bringing financial data to life for operational decision-makers.

Advanced Excel skills and a strong systems orientation with a highly analytical mindset.

Proven ability to communicate financial insights clearly, challenge stakeholders constructively, and influence decision-making.
